Recently, Brad Barr from Primed Leadership shared our story on LinkedIn after we met at a networking event. His words captured something we don't always say out loud. So we wanted to share it here, in our own words.
It Started With Nancy's Gut
Sisterly Bites did not start as a business plan. It started in our kitchen.
Rose was making protein balls for family and friends, the way you do when food is how you show love. Then Nancy was diagnosed as gluten intolerant after years of gut issues, and everything shifted.
We started asking different questions. What can we actually snack on? What feels like a treat but fuels the body? What tastes good without the ingredients we are trying to avoid?
We could not find the answer on a shelf. So we made it ourselves.
Food Is Love
Our Lebanese background shapes everything about the way we think about food. For us, handing someone something handmade, watching them enjoy it, seeing the plate finished. That is the whole point.
That feeling is baked into every Sisterly Bites product.
Everything is handmade. Everything is individually dipped. The ingredients matter. The size matters. The taste matters.
We are not interested in cutting corners to protect margin. In a food business, there are always easier ways to do things. We are choosing the harder one, because the product deserves it.
We Balance Each Other
Nancy brings the structure, the follow-up, the sales focus. Rose brings the energy, the creativity, the face-to-face connection. When we show up together at gyms, cafes, expos and events, something clicks.
Sisterly Bites is not just a protein ball business. It is two sisters building something with real belief behind it, even when sales fluctuate, when doubt creeps in, and when running a business turns out to be harder than either of us expected.
The lesson we keep coming back to is simple: if you know you have a good product, you have to believe in it. That belief is what keeps us going.
